This exceptional 1940's French walnut sofa that seats two comfortably has been completely restored and refinished. The wood frame, armrests and back trim were fully repaired and silvered using the water gilding method. A traditional "Mecca" lacquer was applied to give the silver a gold look-alike appearance. Old upholstery and cushioning were removed and replaced with new springs and padding, and reupholstered with a classic design fabric imported especially ffrom Marché Saint-Pierre in Paris to give the love seat a unique and fresh look.
