Antique Mahogany Biedermeier Cabinet

This piece lost much of its beautiful mahogany veneer due to years of exposure to wide variations in temperature and humidity. Early in its history someone affixed an unsuitable capitello with a glue that is irreversible (modern glue that isn't hide glue). The veneer had to be repaired and the capitello replaced by a new one especially created to match the style. The entire cabinet was polished.
